This place has been a favorite spot of mine for multiple years the food is great and the service is fast and friendly. The owners are almost always on site and the quality of the food is better than most Chinese places. I recommend ordering from the specials menu as they come with soup tea and an egg roll all for less than 10 dollars at lunch and 15 at dinner for the most part. When ordering all of their spicy dishes you are immediately asked "HOW HOT U WANT IT" in a most appealing Chinese accent. All in all this place is a regular stop for me when I am in town and I recommend making it one of yours too.

If you go to restaurants for "ambiance" this isn't the place for you. It's a dumpy building inside and out, and the proprietor is a loud Chinese lady who means well but just doesn't get it. And the local clientele is decidedly blue collar and Walmarty, if you catch my drift. However, if you go to restaurants for yummy food (as I do), then this is the place for you! They will cook to order, so I ordered a meal that normally comes with a brown sauce as "hot." And man, WAS IT EVER HOT!!! The sort of heat that grows and grows the more you eat. We're talking eye watering, nose running, but be careful not to wipe your eyes with it hot. And it was actual MEAT! I WILL be back and I WILL order hot again!

Stereotypical Chinese decor decks out this old KFC location with seating for about 45-50 people... Mom and pop place with the owners on site, waiting on customers and doing the cooking. I'm primed. I ordered the China Garden Special and hot and sour soup. Soup was very pretty good but way too thick but with a pronounced white pepper flavor. The Special? Chicken, Beef and large Shrimp stir-fried with carrots, chinese pea pods, bamboo, water chestnuts, mushrooms, bok choy, celery, broccoli and onion. Brown Sauce (got it medium spicey). Wow.... No complaints here at all, great food and speedy service. Owner was very friendly and chatty, made sure I was happy with everything. My only gripe is that she dropped off the check and then got tied up on a phone conversation so I had to get up to pay my bill. Irritating but not a deal breaker. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant if you are craving Chinese food in Upper Sandusky.

Staying in the Upper Sandusky area for a couple of weeks and got the urge for something fresh, something other than the burgers and pasta that seems the staple. I searched here on Yelp for a good Chinese place, where I can usually get a dish with some tasty veggies, and found China Garden. Sadly, I was a bit disappointed with the experience. Ordered beef & broccoli to go with a hot & sour soup. The beef was good; the broccoli was good; but they were slathered in a brown gravy that was just not very appetizing. The soup was... well, it was not soup. It was some other form of gelatinous goop instead of a spicy broth. I tried to eat it, but it was so bland and gooey, I just couldn't. All in all, I probably threw out about half of the meal.

Driving to Columbus, we stopped here on a Saturday evening for dinner. It's a couple of miles off of US 23 and wasn't crowded. The waitress was very welcoming and sweet. I tried Mongolian Chicken. What a dish. It LOOKED beautiful and tasted delicious. It came with a spring roll and a cup of soup. The vegetable Lo mein was also very good. Highly recommend this place!

Love! The owners are amazing and they treat you like family. I have been going here since they have opened and they remember everyone's order, even if it has been a year since you have been there. Definitely worth the stop and don't order HOT because it will literally make you sneeze when it gets sat down in front of you.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
